Michael Jordan, one of the world's wealthiest sportsmen, is to return for another season in the National Basketball Association with the Chicago Bulls.
The 33-year-old Jordan, whose current one-year contract is worth pounds 20m, believes he is at the top of his game. "At the moment I look forward to playing next year," said the man voted an NBA All-Star for the 11th time. "I don't see anything that says I won't or that I will change my mind.
"The appreciation and respect the fans have paid me, especially this year, is very gratifying. That only fuels the energy I have when I go out on the court."
Twice this season Jordan has scored 50 points in a game, most recently against the New York Knicks on 21 January.
