LANFRANCO DETTORI'S trip to Longchamp yesterday proved fruitless when he finished last of six in the Group Three Prix la Force on Full Deposit.
The John Gosden-trained colt found little when asked for his effort two furlongs from home and was eventually beaten just under seven lengths by the winner, Percutant. A 22-10 shot trained by David Smaga and ridden by Guy Guignard, Percutant beat the favourite, Dare And Go, by a head. The first two home are set to meet again in the Prix du Jockey-Club.
Vintage Crop, last year's Melbourne Cup winner, made a winning reappearance in a Listed race at Leopardstown last night. Dermot Weld's seven-year- old, a 7-4 joint-favourite, won by five lengths.
