EDBERG, the best horse in Howard Johnson's Co Durham stables, has been destroyed. The eight- year-old chaser had to be put down after rupturing his off-fore tendon during his last race at Sandown. 'We had hoped to save Edberg, but he was put down on humane grounds after being examined by three vets, who agreed there was no hope,' Johnson said.
