JOANNA WINTER, daughter of the former trainer and jockey Fred Winter, suffered severe concussion and a broken arm in a fall at Hamburg racecourse on Saturday. Riding Bright Dancer in the Hanse Merkur Lady Cup, her horse reared up and ejected her at the entrance to the straight. She was taken to hospital and was found to have no internal injuries but is nevertheless likely to remain in hospital in Hamburg until Wednesday.
