THE FREEZING weather which wiped out five meetings on Boxing Day has receded, and a full racing programme is expected to take place this afternoon and throughout the rest of the week.

Although both Wetherby and Wolverhampton, casualties on Saturday, will hold precautionary inspections this morning, neither meeting is thought to be in serious doubt.

Three horses are doubly engaged this afternoon: Around The Horn (Kempton 1.15, Wetherby 3.10), Be My Habitat (Kempton 12.45, Chepstow 1.25), and Peanuts Pet (Kempton 3.20, Wetherby 1.35). Only the trainer of Be My Habitat has officially expressed a preference, which is for Kempton.
