Racing: Geneaology returns to fray
GO TO Wincanton today and play an active role in victim support to two horses that have been badly treated in controversial races.
Mr Geneaology, the runner forced off the track when Richard Dunwoody took exception to Adrian Maguire challenging on the inside, has an excellent chance of compensation in the opening claiming hurdle. Maguire again rides, but Dunwoody, who would normally partner his main rival Nanquidno, begins a 14-day ban for his misdemeanour.
Esha Ness, first home in last year's void Grand National, takes to the track for the first time this season in the Wincanton Handicap Chase. With Aintree again the target, he is likely to need the outing.
John White, Esha Ness's anguished partner in the National and now a trainer in Ireland, has flown over to share the experience.
