GRAND LODGE, the favourite for the 1994 2,000 Guineas, headed the 11 entries declared over the weekend for Newmarket's Dewhurst Stakes. William Jarvis's colt heads the betting with both Hill's at 5-2 and Ladbrokes at 11-4 for Friday's Group One contest. Among his possible rivals are the French colt Psychobabble, Stonehatch and Polish Laughter.
Yesterday's Group One Prix de la Foret at Longchamp went to Dolphin Street, who won by a head from Ski Paradise.
