DARRYLL HOLLAND was suspended for five days, from 14 to 19 October, for irresponsible riding at Pontefract yesterday and will miss all of the Cesarewitch meeting at Newmarket, including the ride on Etterby Park in the big race.

Holland's mount, Contrary Mary, won the claiming race from Stone Of Destiny, but at an inquiry the stewards found that the filly had interfered with Snappy Times soon after the start. As they decided that the incident was a result of irresponsible riding, Contrary Mary was placed last.
