CHELTENHAM

2.00: Hors La Loi III took advantage of a weight allowance for four-year- olds in yesterday's Supreme Novices' Hurdle, and BEHRAJAN can do the same in this event. Coincidentally, the selection was a 31/2-length runner- up to Hors La Loi III on this track six weeks ago. That form now looks rock solid. Barton, unbeaten in five races this season, has been at short odds for this prize for a long time but could drift in the market today, and Alexander Banquet looks the main danger.

2.35: Hill Society lost last year's Arkle Trophy by a nostril to Champleve. That was on fastish ground and conditions are now coming right for Paul Carberry's mount. Edredon Bleu is a front-runner who also shows his best form on good ground. But this event looks destined for the Paul Nicholls- trained CALL EQUINAME.

3.15: Kates Charm's hat-trick has been achieved on heavy ground but it could still be folly to ignore her talent today. Fast-ground horses were handling the going well enough here yesterday so EASTER ROSS, who is best on a sound surface, appears an attractive bet. Because of his Royal connections, Easter Ross could be a popular choice on Queen Mother Champion Chase day, so the best morning odds should be taken.

3.55: Nick Dundee's reputation has been built upon awesome performances in the mud in Ireland. He could prove vulnerable to a pacier rival. SPENDID has done most of his racing on the soft, but does possess a turn of foot. That could be decisive.
