2.30: This drop back to seven furlongs should ensure victory for ENRIQUE, who failed valiantly to win the English and Irish 2,000 Guineas. Stravinsky has yet to regain his sparkling two-year-old form, but must be a threat in receipt of 6lb from the favourite. Gary Stevens may grab a place on Yakareem.

3.05: Rowaasi looked a world-beater at Sandown a fortnight ago and will be at short odds to follow up. It could be dangerous to get carried away, however. Most of her six rivals dawdled so badly in the early stages that they never had a chance to get on terms. WARRIOR QUEEN, stablemate of yesterday's authoritative Coventry Stakes winner, Fasliyev, looks a better bet.

3.45: A high draw, close to the inside rail on this round mile, can be useful even in smallish fields. VALENTINE WALTZ has been favoured with stall 7 and Ray Cochrane's mount will also be very much at home on fast ground. The selection was a short head behind Wannabe Grand when they finished second and third behind Wince in the 1,000 Guineas and can reverse the form with Pat Eddery's mount (drawn 1, on the outside) today.

4.20: Low to middle numbers had an edge in yesterday's 32-runner Britannia Stakes over the same straight mile. A repeat of that bias is not guaranteed in this contest but it's probably best to steer clear of the high-drawn runners. Consort was runner-up to Lear Spear in the Cambridgeshire last October, and that horse boosted the form in dramatic fashion by winning a Group Two event here yesterday. This six-year-old always performs well on fast going at Ascot and should hit the frame. But the one who stands out is PERSIANO. Ray Cochrane's mount has been aimed at this prize all year and the in-form James Fanshawe stable will have him spot-on today. Oriental has been well backed following a decisive win over seven furlongs at Goodwood four weeks ago. Because of a slight stamina doubt, Dettori is likely to unleash his mount late.
