YORK

2.05: Putuna prefers some give in the ground, so further rain would enhance her prospects. But this is best left to the top weight, BRAVE REWARD. Gary Stevens's mount has been in the frame in two highly-competitive handicaps this year.

ooo

2.35: NOUSHKEY was three lengths behind Ramruma at Epsom and both have been wide-margin winners since. There is a chance that the less experienced Noushkey has improved enough to make inroads into Ramruna's superiority and, if she has, a best price of 9-2 looks attractive compared to Ramruma at 11-10. The Godolphin charge Zahrat Dubai has something to prove after her Oaks third and her win in a muddling Nassau Stakes over 1m2f.

ooo

3.10: Aidan O'Brien complicates matters by saddling the three-year-old Genghis Khan, unplaced in the Irish Derby, as well as Theatreworld. Vicious Circle has been backed for this, but Luca Cumani's stable has been in the doldrums lately. RED RAMONA was a good third at Goodwood three weeks ago, just ahead of Eminence Gris. If the ground is on the soft side, both should run well at attractive odds.

ooo

3.45: The $1,000,000 colt MULL OF KINTYRE is Aidan O'Brien's selected from three five-day entries, and on form he looks a class above these rivals judged on his second the July Stakes. Once-raced Ma Yoram obviously has potential, but nearly boiled over on that debut appearance back in April.

ooo

4.15: Buy Or Sell is turned out again quickly after winning narrowly at Ripon, but Richard Quinn's mount, ALFAILAK, third in a Group Three contest at Goodwood last time, just has the edge.
