EPSOM

2.30: Despite 20 runners going to post and betting of 7-1 the field in morning lists, this may not be as competitive a race as it first appears. ROBIN LAKE has struck form in her last two races, being awarded one on a disqualification and following up with a win on merit at Haydock last time. As that was in an apprentices' race, she receives no penalty and is also proven on speedy downhill tracks. Slmaat, who has not run since March, is well handicapped and represents the danger.

3.00: MUTINIQUE, put in at the lowest claiming price, was a smooth winner at Salisbury last time and can follow up at the main expense of Tryst. The latter showed plenty of potential on his winning debut and so it is slightly surprising to see him contest such a modest event here.

3.35: Rehlat Farah has won two poorly contested events and is worth opposing with SEASONAL SPLENDOUR. She has taken time to reach top form this season, but was an excellent second at Brighton last time. She coped well with the Epsom-like undulations at that downland track.

4.10: Not an attractive betting event. DIAMOND PARK is clearly the pick on form, particularly after her fifth behind Oaks candidates Hawajiss, Spot Prize and Dance To The Top in the Musidora Stakes at York last time. However, with some lightly raced contenders from powerful stables in opposition, confidence is impossible. Faal Mario has had his limitations exposed and Debrett may pose the most powerful challenge.
