NEWBURY 2.40: Tudor Island and SHUJAN, who finished first and fourth in a Newmarket handicap last month in which the second and third, Transom and Trans Siberia, have won since, should dominate this. Tudor Island has been raised 6lb for his success while the selection, who should be better suited by this track and is a 4-1 chance with Coral and William Hill, remains on the same handicap mark.
3.10: Painter's Row justified a big home reputation when winning a hotly contested Newmarket maiden last time, but TAKLIF, who contested the second division of the same race, may provide the best value alternative today.
Showing his inexperience on his first run, he galloped on strongly into fifth there behind Smart Alec (winner again since), with Star Of Zilzal in third. The selection's trainer often targets this race with his best juveniles.
3.40: DOUBLE BLUE has held his form better than most of these and is a top-priced 9-1 with Coral at morning odds. Cool Jazz looks the danger.
