Racing: Hyperion's TV Tips
DONCASTER
2.35: Harry Thomson Jones rates MAMLAKAH second only to his 2,000 Guineas prospect Alami among the two-year-olds at Green Lodge stables. After two comfortable victories she steps up in class today but can justify her reputation against Poppy Carew, held by Michael Stoute's Pure Grain at Goodwood last time. This afternoon Stoute runs Opera Lover, another showing plenty of potential.
3.10: While four of the nine-strong field have shown enough ability to win this, Fraam and Maroof have not been consistent enough to justify support and the choice lies between Emperor Jones and SOVIET LINE. Both are around 7-2 at morning odds, with 4-1 about the selection with Ladbrokes the best price available. He looked at his peak at Kempton last week and can take advantage of the 7lb he receives from the John Gosden-trained colt.
3.40: A disappointing crop of stayers renew rivalry again, with CUFF LINK, who was disqualified after beating My Patriarch at York last time, preferred. His victim then is not sure to appreciate the extra quarter mile here. At 9-2 with Coral and William Hill, the selection makes more appeal than the Ascot Gold Cup winner Arcadian Heights, who must give weight away all roundyet is the morning favourite at 7-2 in most lists.
4.10: Despite a field of 20, the morning betting is dominated, justifiably, by Polish Admiral at around 5-1. Impressive in his recent Newcastle win, he is set to rise in future handicaps and will surely go well. NONIOS, at 16-1 with William Hill (12-1 Coral and Ladbrokes), is a realistic alternative who was impressive at Leicester two races ago.
