An investigation will be held into the death of the jockey Richard Davis. The Jockey Club announced yesterday that four officials would be discussing all the factors that led to the tragedy. The investigation committee will be chaired by Robert Waley-Cohen, a racecourse steward.
An inquest into Davis's death will be opened and adjourned in Newark today. Davis's funeral will take place at Earl's Croome church, in Worcestershire, at noon on Friday.
