OLIVIER PESLIER just got the better of Frankie Dettori as the Andre Fabre-trained Limpid beat the Godolphin runner, Almutawakel, by a neck in the Group One Grand Prix de Paris over 10 furlongs at Longchamp yesterday.
The first two home - coupled in the betting as 4-1 chances - finished three lengths in front of the odds-on favourite, Croco Rouge, who took third. The Barry Hills-trained Prolix, with Pat Eddery aboard, was fifth.
Limpid, owned by Sheikh Mohammed, is now likely to be aimed at the Arc.
