MARTIN PIPE was quoted at 3-1 yesterday to break fresh ground and train 250 winners in the new jumps season which starts today at Bangor-on-Dee. Ladbrokes rate champion jockey Peter Scudamore a 7-2 chance to reach a double century.

Pipe set a training record of 230 winners in the 1990/91 season and Scudamore achieved the highest ever total of 221 winning rides in 1988/89.
