HIGH praise was aimed at Darryll Holland at Kempton yesterday after his eight-length victory aboard Jonsalan in the Queen's Prize. Jonsalan, a 16-1 chance backed from a morning price of 25-1, landed a gamble for connections as he readily outstayed recent Doncaster winner Paradise Navy, the hot favourite.
Terry Mills, the winning trainer, said: 'I knew the horse would go close and I told Darryll to take the Pipe horse on from five furlongs out. He carried out the orders to perfection.'
