MICHAEL ROBERTS will miss today's sole Flat meeting at Nottingham in order to undergo further treatment for his persistent back injury, sustained in a fall on the gallops two weeks ago.

The South African is still experiencing considerable pain in the lower part of his back, where he has pulled a muscle, but expects to return to competition at Brighton tomorrow, where he has just one booked ride.
