DOM SAMOURAI, the runner-up in the 3m 5f 110yds Welsh National, is a top-priced 11-1 with the Tote - Coral offer just 8-1 - for the Greenalls Grand National Trial at Haydock on Saturday. Dom Samourai stayed on well over an inadequate 3m 2f 110yds to finish seven lengths second to Ottowa at Chepstow last Saturday,

Tell The Nipper, a possible raider from Ireland, who beat Heist by a neck in the Grade Three Grand National Trial over 3m 1f at Fairyhouse recently, is 20-1 with Ladbrokes - William Hill offer just 12-1 - while, among the outsiders, Druids Brook catches the eye at 50-1 with the Tote - Ladbrokes go just 20-1.

The Racing Post Chase has attracted 12 entries, many of whom are doubtful runners. The ground at Kempton promises to ride on the fast side and, at this stage, King George VI Chase runner up Challenger Du Luc - 7-2 with Coral - the course-specialist Super Tactics - 7-1 with Coral and William Hill and the speedy Land Afar - 7-1 with William hill - may be the trio to concentrate on.

Executive Decision is a top-priced 20-1 with the Tote following his 21/2- length victory over Snow Dragon in the Grade Three Juvenile Hurdle at Navan on Sunday.
