Racing: Simon Holt of Channel 4 analyses today's Stewards' Cup at Goodwood
Selhurstpark Flyer: Splendid front-runner who, despite advancing years, is better than ever.
Fire Dome: May develop into Group horse and is well handicapped.
Nigrasine: Winner over seven furlongs and has speed for this. Exposed.
Eastern Purple: Runaway winner at Haydock in May and fair fifth at Newbury on latest start.
Gaelic Storm: On a hat-trick following victories at York and Newcastle. Progressive type. Chances.
Proud Native: Successful over five furlongs at Doncaster in March but "duck eggs" for form figures since.
Superior Premium: Third (and best of far-side group) in Wokingham at Royal Ascot and has won twice since. Should run a big race.
Dancethenightaway: Finished fast in the Wokingham. Inconsistent.
Triple Hay: Course-and-distance scorer in May and made bold show when fourth at Newbury recently.
Double Action: Was never going in the Wokingham. Likes cut.
Nuclear Debate: Fast-improving sprinter from shrewd yard. Consider.
Surveyor: Unlucky third at Newbury last time. Open to improvement.
Qilin: Well-beaten third in listed race at York. High in the weights.
No Extras: Three times a course winner between six furlongs and a mile and looks tuned up for this. Strong finisher from stable in form.
Bold Effort: Fair eighth in the Wokingham and then got up in the last stride at Sandown (stiff 5f). Often runs well in this type of race.
Night Shot: Consistent sprinter, successful on softish ground.
Literary Society: Looked in need of this trip at Ascot (5f) last time.
The Gay Fox: Held by several rivals. Gets behind in early stages.
Harmonic Way: Strongly-run six furlongs should suit but held by the handicapper.
Rudi's Pet: Well beaten recently.
Jayannpee: Getting on but won at Bath two starts ago. Course winner.
Masha-Il: Beat 23 others over course and distance in June with four of today's rivals behind.
Lamarita: Good third at Epsom in June but hangs under pressure.
Stand Tall: Useful round the gaffs but yet to run well at this grade.
Always Alight: Has run respectably in big handicaps. Tough.
Sharp Hat: Must improve.
Sylva Paradise: Fourth at Ascot (form working out well) on last start.
Distinctive Dream: Disappointing here last month.
Kilcullen Lad: No chance with winner when second last time. Speedy.
Ansellman: Hardy veteran who seems better in claimers nowadays.
Conclusion: FIRE DOME could be a Group horse in a handicap.
