Racing: Simon Holt of Channel 4 Racing analyses the Derby at Epsom this afternoon
Adair: Godolphin's second string following indifferent gallops. Easily won his only race in New York.
All The Way: Guaranteed stayer unsuited by soft ground. Beat Rhagaas at this trip last month.
Beat All: Quickened well to beat Italian Derby winner Mukhalif at Newmarket in April. Off since.
Brancaster: Stayed on into fourth in 2,000 Guineas and could improve over this longer trip.
Compton Admiral: Beat Brancaster over 1m but flopped in Guineas. Bred to be suited by trip.
Daliapour: Easy winner here (1m 2f) in April and then second to Lucido at Lingfield. Likes soft.
Dubai Millennium: Unbeaten in three starts and sprinted from last to first in a few strides to win at Goodwood. Working well since.
Glamis: Has not fulfilled promise and only seventh to Salford Express in Dante Stakes at York.
Housemaster: Won Chester Vase but disqualified for causing interference. Guaranteed stayer.
Lucido: Supplemented at cost of pounds 75,000 having earlier looked below this standard. Has beaten Oath and Daliapour. Big chance.
Oath: Beaten fair and square by Lucido in April (may have needed race) but looked improved in five-length win in Dee Stakes. No doubts on ground or stamina.
Rhagaas: Carried his head high when no match for All The Way at Newmarket in early May.
Saffron Walden: Unbeaten this season, winning Irish 2,000 Guineas last time. Top class but big doubts about him staying 1m 4f.
Salford Express: Fine win in Dante and progressive. Trainer not to be under-estimated.
Tchaikovsky: Goes well on soft but easily beaten at Leopardstown last time - not Derby form.
Through The Rye: Fourth to Oath at Chester. No chance.
Val Royal: Unbeaten. Successful twice over 1m 1f this season but not certain to stay much further.
Zaajer: Outside chance following defeat of Italian Derby winner (1m 2f). Needs soft ground.
Conclusion: Despite stamina doubts, DUBAI MILLENNIUM can give Frankie Dettori a first Derby success. He has most to fear from much improved Oath.
