THREE trainers were fined by the disciplinary committee of the Jockey Club yesterday after post-race drug tests on their horses proved positive. Jimmy FitzGerald was penalised pounds 400 as the sample taken from his Bold Pursuit after winning at Southwell in May was found to contain isoxsuprine, which was being administered to another horse in the yard.
Mick Ryan's fine of pounds 350 was due to Saffron Lord testing positive for trimethoprin after a hunter chase at Ludlow and Giles Bravery was fined pounds 500 as his mare Royal Flamingo tested positive for 4-hydroxypropranolol after finishing second at Hexham.
