Plans to send Yavana's Pace, the November Handicap winner, over hurdles this winter have been scrapped. Despite being quoted in some betting lists for the Champion Hurdle, owner John Kearney says the six-year-old will not now go jumping.

Earthstopper has been announced a non-runner in the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury on 28 November. The winner of last season's Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham fell on his reappearance at Newton Abbot last week. His trainer, Paul Nicholls, said: ``He's all right, but we won't be able to get him ready in time.''
