Piggy French underlined her Olympic selection credentials with a commanding performance at the Houghton International Horse Trials in Norfolk yesterday.

French took victory riding Jakata in section C. "[The horse] went really well without a big effort. He was in a different league," she said.

French was well placed on DHI Topper in section D but a run-out late on the cross-country course saw her slip to 19th.
