So where did your money go? Those who backed Many Clouds won't have cared one bit as Leighton Aspell clinched a second straight Grand National victory.

19 horses finished the race out of the field of 39, with Carlito Brigante pulling out of the running before the tape rose after falling lame.

It was a race of high attrition though, with three horses being ruled out of contention at the very first fence, and the drama increased when leader The Druids Nephew fell just four fences from home.
