The final day of the Cheltenham Festival sees the Gold Cup take centre stage as 10 of the best chasers battle it out to take top honours over a relentless three-mile course.

Despite the emotional triumph of fan favourite Sprinter Sacre in Wednesday’s Champion Chase and Annie Power’s incredible run to victory in the Champion Hurdle on Tuesday, the Gold Cup will remain the headline moment of the entire festival.

Even though potential contenders Vautour and Road To Riches withdrew from the running in order to contest the Ryanair Chase yesterday afternoon, the race will still be fiercely contested, with the likes of Cue Card, Don Poli and Djakadam fancied to mix it up at the front.

The race begins at 15.30 and is scheduled to be the fourth race on the final day of racing at Cheltenham, with three more races afterwards set to bring the Festival to a close.

Today’s racecard:

13:30: Triumph Hurdle

14.10: County Hurdle

14.50: Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle

15.30: Cheltenham Gold Cup

16.10: Foxhunter Chase Challenge Cup

16.50: Conditional Jockey's Hurdle

17.30: Grand Annual Chase

The Foxhunter Chase Challenge Cup will also see the Cheltenham debut of the most successful British female Olympian, Victoria Pendleton, as she rides Pacha Du Polder in a bid to conquer her quest to race at the Festival.
