Finland's Ari Vatanen won the second round of the Mobil 1/Top Gear British Rally Championship by a convincing four minute margin in a Group A Ford Escort Cosworth. The former world champion set fastest times on eight of the 11 special stages in the famous Kielder Forest complex that claimed more than half the 91 entrants during the gruelling two-day event.
