RUGBY LEAGUE

Oldham yesterday unveiled plans for a new £6m stadium which will be situated a few hundred yards from the home of the football club, Oldham Athletic. The 10,000-capacity ground should be completed within three years.

Denis Betts, the Great Britain international who joins the Auckland Warriors from Wigan at the end of the season on a five-year contract, has agreed to guest with Wigan during the Australian off-season for the next three years.
