CASTLEFORD TIGERS turned on the power in the second half to overcome the bottom club, Huddersfield Giants, 32-20 in an exciting Super League match at the McAlpine Stadium yesterday.

Huddeersfield gave the impression they were anything but push-overs when they started the game in determined fashion and reached half-time with a 16-10 lead.

It looked like being their day when Chris Orr dived over just after the break but Jon Wells pulled one back for Castleford a matter of seconds later, and that was the first of three tries in seven minutes for the Tigers. Orr scored his second in the 50th minute to reduce the arrears to two points, then Castleford took the lead for the first time in the game after 73 minutes when Orr dived over after a breathtaking 30 yard burst and the game was theirs.

Featherstone pulled off a shock by thrashing Hull KR 54-6 at Craven Park to line up a meeting with their neighbours Wakefield Trinity in the First Division Grand Final.
