Halifax were within 10 minutes of going out of the Challenge Cup yesterday. Down 16-14 at Hull KR, the Super League side needed a Martin Moana try, converted by John Schuster, to take them into the fifth-round draw.

Paris St-Germain gained their first-ever victory on English soil by beating Batley 38-4. The Second Division side never recovered from having Steve Walker sent off for a high tackle after 20 minutes.

Last year's beaten finalists, Bradford Bulls, had no problem with Hunslet, scoring 11 tries in their 62-10 victory.
