The Rugby League's board of directors are to be asked to defer a vote on whether to accept the controversial 'Framing the Future' report, which calls for the formation of a Premier League and other major changes in the professional game. Second Division clubs and National Conference associated members met near Rochdale yesterday and decided to ask for the vote at Wednesday's scheduled meeting to be postponed in order that a working party can be formed to consider the future. Ellery Hanley, the Leeds skipper, could miss his side's match against Australia at Headingley on Wednesday after picking up a calf injury in Leeds' 14-14 draw with Castleford on Friday night. However, Kelvin Skerrett is expected to make his return from injury for Wigan against the Australians at Central Park on Saturday.
