PETER TUNKS, the Oldham coach, has been offered the tempting post of football manager with the Auckland Warriors, writes Dave Hadfield.
The job would give Tunks the chance to work alongside his fellow-Australian, John Monie. 'It's a very attractive job, but I still think I can take Oldham a bit further forward,' Tunks said. He is under contract at Oldham until the end of next season.
The Warriors have also made an offer to Tea Ropati, the St Helens stand-off.
