WIGAN have named Graeme West as their new coach. West, who took over as caretaker coach last month following the controversial sacking of John Dorahy, has signed a two-year contract.

West, who has been at Central Park for 12 years, steered the double-winners to Premiership success and to a memorable World Club Challenge victory over the Brisbane Broncos during his short spell in charge.

Joe Lydon is expected to be appointed as his coaching co-ordinator.
