Danie van Schalkwyk, the Northern Transvaal centre, has been forced to withdraw from the South Africa squad to tour Argentina, France and Wales next month due to a groin injury. He will be replaced by Natal's Dick Muir.

The Heriot's FP back-row Graham Dall has withdrawn from the Glasgow and Edinburgh team to face Australia in Glasgow on Saturday because of an elbow injury. He will be replaced by West of Scotland's David McLeish, with Boroughmuir's Paul Jennings on the bench.
