Peter Jones has resigned as coach of relegated Abertillery after the club finished bottom of the Heineken League First Division. The ex- Newbridge forward denied that his decision had anything to do with the team's performances.

Kevin Walker, the Pontypool winger and younger brother of Nigel Walker, has left the Second Division club for First Division Bridgend.

Preston Grasshoppers have signed Steve Kerry, the former rugby league player. Kerry made 133 first team appearances for Preston before signing for Salford back in 1988. He now returns as a player with some coaching duties.
