Leinster announced their cup credentials once again with a good win at the Ospreys, while Leicester departed Ireland with another Ravenhill defeat to add to their record.

The Heineken Cup is back, and perhaps, for the final time. Elsewhere, defending champions Toulon recorded a landslide victory over Glasgow, and the Exeter Chiefs recorded one of the biggest results in their history by defeating the Cardiff Blues 44-29 at Sandy Park.

There were also wins for Saracens, Toulouse, Montpellier, Edinburgh, Castres, Scarlets, Gloucester and Racing Metro in the opening round of group matches.

But who impressed enough to make it into our Team of the Weekend?
