Leeds tear apart Tigers
An under-strength Leicester side were overwhelmed by Leeds yesterday in the Zurich Premiership.
The Leeds prop Gavin Kerr capped an amazing performance for the home side by charging 40 metres through a demoralised Leicester side to score 13 minutes from time.
Earlier, tries from Tom Palmer, and Craig Emmerson had put Leeds in control. And the home side even had the final say when Dan Scarborough dived gleefully under the posts to seal a 37-16 victory.
Wasps saw their hopes of only a second league win of the season dashed when Newcastle Falcons' Jamie Noon sneaked home a penalty try in the third minute of injury-time. The London club were leading 30-26 when Noon struck.
Bath squeezed out only their second Zurich Premiership win of the season to move away from the bottom of the table. Again they had Matt Perry to thank for a defensive solidity and a sureness with the boot which provided four penalties and a conversion of Mike Tindall's try to ensure a 19-11 victory over London Irish.
