Alistair Burt, Minister for the Disabled, yesterday launched a substantial support package by the DBS financial advisory group for the World Blind Championships in Weymouth in June. Three teams of four, including two fully sighted crew members, will be entered in Britain's defence of their title at Weymouth.

John Merricks and Ian Walker, the Olympic silver medallists, have been invited to enter a team in the Royal Lymington Cup, Britain's only grade one Match Racing Grand Prix.
