Hans Knaus, of Austria, scored his first World Cup victory at Alta Badia yesterday. Seemingly unaffected by competing in the men's downhill at Val Gardena on Saturday he ended Swiss Michael Von Grunigen's 100 per cent record in the giant slalom this season. Knaus won with a combined time of 2min 35.34sec.
