Snooker: Davis finds his old form
Steve Davis launched his Benson and Hedges Masters title defence in some style at Wembley last night.
The six-times world champion booked a quarter-final place with a comfortable 6-2 victory over Darren Morgan. Davis, at 40 the elder statesman of the Masters field, now tackles Ronnie O'Sullivan in a repeat of last year's classic final.
"That's undoubtedly my best performance for ages," Davis said. "It was really solid stuff. Tonight I have felt like a snooker player again."
