RONNIE O'SULLIVAN booked his place in this year's Liverpool Victoria UK Championship quarter-finals in Bournemouth with another rapid victory yesterday.
The twice former winner had already breezed through his opening two matches before coming up against his stablemate Anthony Hamilton. His third victory took even less time - just 105 minutes - to write himself into the record books.
O'Sullivan's 9-1 victory over the world No 10 from Nottingham goes to number two on the list of quickest ever finishes to a best-of-17 frames match.
It took him 14 minutes less than Tony Drago took to whitewash Joe O'Boye in the 1990 UK Championship.O'Sullivan now meets the Regal Masters champion Matthew Stevens.
