Sport Almanack: Vine suffers techno-fear

FAKE snow flew among synthetic Christmas trees in the Mall last week as the launch of the 'Winter Olympics' computer game yoked together two contrasting British institutions: David Vine and the Institute of Contemporary Arts. Undeterred by such an inappropriate venue, the defiantly anoraked Vine horsed around with the speed skater and computer-game- nut Wilf O'Reilly before declaring his total ignorance of all things technical and letting a dozen schoolchildren loose on the Sega consoles. Ski Sunday's man declined to try out the games himself; the kids thought the bobsleigh was the most fun. Coming to the ICA on 31 October: 'Looking for my Penis', by Richard Fung.
