MIKE POWELL, America's long jump world record holder, will be the main guest at Britain's first major athletics meeting of the year. Powell will jump at the Pearl International Games at Glasgow's Kelvin Hall on 30 January; the meeting features an international between Great Britain and Russia, but Powell is the first of a series of American guests to be invited to take part.
