SEVERAL leading athletes from the United States, including Mike Powell, Mike Conley, Michael Johnson and Gwen Torrence, have threatened to boycott the world indoor championships in Toronto in March unless the International Amateur Athletics Federation awards prize-money to highly placed finishers. The athletes are also prepared to miss the world outdoor championships in Stuttgart this summer over the same issue.
