NOUREDDINE MORCELI, of Algeria, the world 1500 metres champion, will make an attempt on the world indoor mile record at the TSB international meeting at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham on 20 February. Ireland's Eamonn Coghlan is the present record- holder with a time of 3min 49.78sec. Morceli established a 1,000m record in Birmingham 12 months ago.
