MAGIC JOHNSON, who won a gold medal at the Barcelona Olympics, wants to return to the Los Angeles Lakers - if he receives medical approval. Johnson retired last November when he learned he was HIV positive. However, the Lakers general manager, Jerry West, said: 'I absolutely know nothing about it. No one has talked to us about it. I sure wish Magic would talk to us.'
