THE European Boxing Union have given Lennox Lewis until 31 October to make a mandatory defence of his heavyweight title against Henry Akinwande, of London. That is also the date Lewis meets Razor Ruddock in a world title final elimination bout. Lewis's manager, Frank Maloney, is appealing for more time to arrange the European defence fight.
