BILLY HARDY will challenge Australia's Ray Rayner for the vacant Commonwealth featherweight title at the Crowtree Leisure Centre in his native Sunderland on 7 October. The former British bantamweight champion will be stepping up a division to contest a title held until recently by Colin McMillan, Britain's World Boxing Organisation champion.
