PAT BARRETT, of Manchester, will challenge the French champion Valery Kayumba for the crown he once held, the European light-welterweight title, in Luxembourg on 2 December.

JEFF FENECH, a three-times world champion from Australia, has had to cancel his 25 October super-featherweight comeback bout against Jimmy Garcia, of Colombia. Fenech suffered a fractured sternum in a recent training session and will be unable to train for six weeks.
